Payouts
Card payments land in your Stripe balance first, then go to your bank as a payout. You can let them go out on a schedule, send one yourself when you want the money, or both.
Cash never passes through Stripe. It stays in your drawer.
Choose your deposit schedule
Pick Automatic daily (Stripe) or At closeout on the Register under Settings›Payments, in Deposits. On the web, it's in Deposits at POS settings. See When you get paid for how each one works.
When you switch to At closeout, you'll be asked to confirm, because Stripe's daily schedule is turned off. Switching back turns it on again.
Check your balance
On the web, open Balance. In the Paybrain app, open the Balance tab.
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Available Balance | Ready to pay out now, less any funds on hold for fraud warnings |
| Pending Balance | Card payments still settling at Stripe |
| Total Balance | Available plus pending |
Pending Charges lists each payment that's still settling, with the date it becomes available. Account Activity lists what came in and went out, for the last 30 days or a month you pick.
Send a payout yourself
You can pay out your available balance at any time, whichever deposit schedule you use.
Open the payout screen
On the web, go to Balance and click Payout under Quick Actions. In the Paybrain app, open Balance and tap Payout.
Choose Standard or Instant
Standard Instant Fee Free A fee, shown on the Instant tab before you confirm Arrives Usually in 2–3 business days Within 30 minutes Goes to Your bank account A debit card that supports instant payouts Limit Your available balance Up to $9,999 per payout Confirm
Click Standard Payout or Instant Payout. The payout shows up in Account Activity.
A Standard payout sends your whole available balance. An Instant payout sends the smaller of your available balance, instant-eligible funds and $9,999, less any applicable platform fee. Until your email address is verified, the payout screen limits you to $100. Check your inbox for the verification link.
If Payout is greyed out
The button is off when there's nothing available, when Stripe still needs details from you, or when payouts are paused. Look for an alert at the top of Balance:
- Payout Account Error: click Manage Stripe and finish what Stripe asks for.
- Payouts Restricted or Account Restricted: payouts are paused, often after fraud warnings. The alert gives the reason.
- Account Setup Required, under Account Status: click Complete Setup on Stripe.
Change your bank account
Your bank details are kept by Stripe, not Paybrain.
Open Stripe from Paybrain
On the web, go to Balance and click Manage Payouts under Account Status. In the Paybrain app, open Balance and tap Manage Payouts.
Update your bank
Stripe opens and walks you through your account details, including the bank account. Save there and come back to Paybrain.
Your accounts are listed under Payout Accounts on Balance, with the default one marked Default. If you have none, click Add Payout Method.
