Manage recurring accounts
Open Recurring on the web, or the Recurring tab in the Paybrain app, to see every account with its customer, rate, cycle and status. Tap an account to see its details, share its link and manage its files.
Account statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| PENDING | The customer hasn't subscribed yet |
| PAID | The customer has subscribed and is being billed |
| CANCELLED | The account has been ended and won't renew |
Edit an account
Open the account and click Edit Account to change its name, description, customer details or notes. On the web, click Save Changes. An account that's been ended can't be edited.
Share files with a subscriber
Once the customer has subscribed, you can give them files, such as monthly reports or course material.
On the web, open the account and click Attach Files under File Attachments. The customer gets an email that new files are ready, and finds them under Shared Files on their manage page.
Each file can be up to 10MB on accounts created on Basic, and up to 3GB on accounts created on Premium.
Request files from a subscriber
On Premium, you can ask a subscriber to upload files to you. Open the account, click Request Files under File Requests, describe what you need and send it. The customer gets an email and uploads from their manage page. The request changes from PENDING to FULFILLED, and the files appear on the account.
File requests follow the plan you were on when you created the account. An account created on Basic shows This subscription was created on the Basic plan.
What customers can do
The link in the customer's confirmation email opens their manage page. There they can:
- See their plan, current billing period and next billing date
- See their Payment History, with a receipt for each payment
- Download Shared Files and upload any files you've requested
- Click Cancel Subscription. They keep their subscription until the end of the period they've paid for, and then billing stops.
Customers can't change their card or restart a cancelled subscription from this page. To start again, add a new account.
End an account
Ending an account stops it from renewing.
- Before the customer has subscribed, delete it. Open the account and click Delete Account on the web, or tap Edit Account and then Delete Account in the app. This can't be undone.
- After the customer has subscribed, click Terminate Account on the web, or tap Edit Account and then Terminate Account in the app. The customer is emailed, and the subscription doesn't renew after the current billing period.
Who can manage recurring accounts
Team members need Manage turned on for Recurring under Settings›Team Members. With View only, they can see accounts but can't add one.
