Good to know
The fine print, in plain words.
- Stripe processes every payment. Its surcharges apply on top: +1.5% for international cards and +1% when a currency conversion is needed.
- Disputes. Stripe charges $15 when a customer disputes a payment.
- Card pricing, your call. Turn it on and the register shows card prices, with your stored price back as a cash discount for anyone paying cash. Or absorb the fee. Either way it's one setting in your register.
- Sales tax you collect is added to your customer's total. It's never a fee.
