One Paybrain account covers the Register, the app and the web. Signing up takes a minute; connecting Stripe takes a few more and is what lets you take cards and receive payouts.

Sign up on paybrain.io, in the Paybrain app, or right on the Register. There's no password — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone or email.

Your name, email and phone number.

We text or email a code. Enter it and you're in. Next time, sign in with the same phone or email.

Add your business details

Your business display name appears on invoices and receipts, and customers see it on their card statements. You'll also choose Individual or Company — a company can add its EIN.

On the Register this is part of the setup wizard. On the web it's under Settings, along with your address, your invoice and receipt logo, and sales tax.

Connect Stripe

Paybrain processes payments through Stripe. Connecting it is a one-time step where Stripe confirms your business and identity and asks where to send your payouts.

Start the setup
On the Register you'll see Set up payments right after the setup wizard — scan the QR code with your phone to finish there, or tap Open on this device instead. On the web or in the app, follow the prompt to finish setting up payments.
Confirm your business details
Stripe asks for your business type, address and what you sell.
Verify your identity
Usually a photo ID and a few personal details. It takes a couple of minutes.
Add where payouts should go
Your business bank account.

The Register screen updates by itself while you finish on your phone — Waiting for you to finish on your phone…, then Verifying your details…, then You're all set.
