Receipts
Print a receipt at the counter, email it, or both. The Register never prints on its own, so you don't waste paper on customers who don't want one.
Print a receipt
- On the Paid screen, tap Print receipt. For a cash sale the button reads Print receipt & open drawer if the drawer hasn't opened yet.
- Tap Print again for a second copy.
To reprint an earlier sale, open it from Reports›Orders.
The web can't print receipts. Email the receipt instead, or print from the Register.
The phone app can't print receipts. Email the receipt instead, or print from the Register.
Printed receipts show your business name, your location's address and phone number, the items, totals and payment, Thank you!, and a barcode. Scan the barcode on the Register screen to pull the sale back up.
Email a receipt
When a customer with an email address is attached to the sale, through loyalty or a membership, Paybrain emails the receipt automatically. The Paid screen shows Receipt emailed to ….
No email on file? Send it yourself:
- Tap View sale.
- Type the customer's email and tap Email receipt.
- Click View sale, or open the sale from Orders.
- Under Receipt, type the customer's Email and click Email receipt.
To send it again, click Resend receipt.
- Tap View sale, or open the sale from Orders on the POS tab.
- Under Receipt, type the customer's Email and tap Email receipt.
To send it again, tap Resend receipt.
If a customer is attached to the sale, the address is saved for next time.
Each sale shows where its receipt went, so you can answer "did you send it?" without sending it twice. On the web and in the phone app, the sale's Receipt section shows Sent to … with when it went, and whether it was automatic.
Your name and address on receipts
Receipts use your business display name and the address and phone number of the location where the sale happened. Change your business name on the web under Settings. Change a location's address and phone on the web, or on the Register under Settings›Locations.
